Casey McKinnon was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, and has lived in Edinburgh, London, and now Los Angeles. She has Scottish, English, Italian, Irish, and German ancestry, and has studied several languages mostly focusing on French and Korean. Before turning to acting full time, she worked for the government of Japan and was a competitive martial artist.
As a voice actor, Casey played opposite Portal’s Ellen McLain in NASA’s ‘Electromagnetic Spectrum The Musical,’ and narrated SONY’s official San Diego Comic-Con coverage in 2010. She can be heard in the fake radio promo within sci-fi film Chromo46, and as the vocalist of the Young Hero Lass song in Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt’s hit web series Shelf Life. She got her start creating quirky sketch comedy characters for her viral web series Galacticast and providing engaging comic reviews for A Comicbook Orange.
Since completing her professional training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, she has furthered her voice training with legendary voice actor Charlie Adler and with a number of great teachers at Halp Academy and Sound On Studio where she has expanded her knowledge of Performance Capture, creature work, and home studio setups.
Her primary focus in voice acting is to work in animation and AAA video games.
